My dad

I got woken up this morning by my mum yelling that my dad had broken his leg and that we were waiting for an ambulence.

Naturally I ran downstairs, and he was in the garden, looking extremely annoyed and clutching his leg. We got blankets to cover him because it was freezing cold outside.

The ambulence finally showd up... 30 mins after my mum called them! To say I was extremely pissed is an understatement. My dad is 61 years old! You don't let a 61 yr old lie outside in the freezing cold with a suspected broken leg for half an hour! If he develops pnumonia or anything like that then I will make sure that the shit will hit the fan.

My mum just called and he's had a bad break. He's got a cast up to his knee and he'll be staying in overnight. I got hold of my brother thankfully and he's gone to see them. I'm at home keeping an eye on things and taking phone calls.

I wanted to post this in case I disappear offline for a while.

I'm really scared, I hope my dad will be ok

Im sure ya dad will be fine, tell him i hope he makes a great recovery. I'm sure he will, my nan has the same problem. She broke her ankle slipping on a man hole cover and they waited a while for an ambulence and it pissed with rain on her and she was 67 at the time.

It's awful isn't it.

I mean, I know heart attacks and those kind of calls come first, but this was 9 in the morning! Not exactly loads of calls coming in.
